Under the encase of the tent a ear splitting splash followed by loud grunts awoke me beckoning me to believe it was dawn! The hippos in haste to reach the pool must have run at bursting stride to enter the water just before sunrise above the azure skies.

It's amazing that the trek around the environs has lasted from breakfast to lunchtime. A spotted monitor lizard scampers ahead of our direction while it disappears into the thick shrub. Shortly we reach the crocodile nursery by the pool where the spring water bubbles.
A miniature crocodile lies about the exposed stone oblivious of our presence. The clear pond of bubbling water is quite busy with the small charges. We respect how this little one shall someday grow into a massive sized crocodile. What a day!
